Ice Kings Hockey – our organization is 100% staffed by parent volunteers with a passion for ice hockey. Many of us played the sport growing up at various skill levels, and want to pass on our love for the sport on to youth in our local communities. To that end, we set up Ice Kings Hockey, Inc. a California Non-Profit Corporation to promote the life skills that playing hockey offers: sportsmanship, teamwork, focus, and community service for the southern Orange County area.
Ice Kings Hockey, Inc. is organized to field high school-level hockey teams and programs within the Anaheim Ducks High School Hockey League, run by Anaheim Ducks Foundation, a non-profit established by the NHL Anaheim Ducks to facilitate and support programs that broadening access to the sport of hockey.
The organization’s mission is to facilitate and support programs that produce positive change for kids and families throughout the southern Orange County, CA geographical area by providing educational opportunities, broadening access to the sport of hockey at the high school level, and addressing the health and wellness needs of our community. We are an organization open to all volunteer parents, participant high school kids and other supporters interested in promoting ice hockey to youth of all ages in our communities.
We aim to make sure that all interested children in our geographic area are able to participate in ice hockey based on their abilities, regardless of their family’s socio-economic situation. Most importantly, our non-profit is operated exclusively for charitable purposes through volunteer parents, kids and other supporters. Kids that participate in our programs are selected based on objective and nondiscriminatory criteria and all selected participants are allowed to participate in activities regardless of parent participation in fundraising.
